MOHR GIVES BACK
At MOHR Retail we believe that retail is a part of the community. When our communities hurt (especially our retail partners) or need our help, we respond. It’s important for us to give back to the communities where we live and work. MOHR Retail is committed to making a positive impact.
One of the ways that we invest in the community is through our charity work. We support local and international charities and nonprofits.
Here are just a few of the ways that we support the community through our charity work:

When natural disasters like hurricanes, fires and floods effect communities, MOHR Retail has donated to local, State and Nationwide charities such as the Red Cross and World Central Kitchen, to bring hope and needed supplies to victims. We believe, like Jose Andres, a warm meal and comfort food for your region, does much to calm the nerves and make people feel safe, cared for and not forgotten, even if just the short time it takes to digest the meal. Then our donations to Red Cross will help them with shelter and other needs.
MOHR Retail contributed to World Central Kitchen to help feed the Maui residents after the wildfires this summer.
About WCK: World Central Kitchen is the first to the frontlines, providing fresh meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.

MOHR Retail is proud to support the Red Cross and their efforts during Extreme Disasters that have impacted our clients such as Maui Fires in Fort Myers, FL Coast during Hurricane Ian, Tropical Storm Harvey that impacted Houston, TX with devastating floods and Hurricane Michael that hit the panhandle of Florida.
Mary Beth Garcia our CEO is a Ride Marshal and fundraiser for the Dolphin Cycling Challenge and will be riding her 10th ride event on February 22, 2025 that benefits the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami, FL. This event attracts over 5,000 runners, walkers and cyclists who participate each year. If you would like to support Mary Beth and Beat Cancer, please click here.

Mary Beth, MOHR Retail CEO, is a powerhouse who fuels her passion for training with the adrenaline rush of cycling. But there’s more to her than meets the asphalt. She channels her expertise into riding alongside a cause she believes in – JDRF, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, one of our (almost pro bono) clients. JDRF’s mission is to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes.
For years, Mary Beth has been a beacon of safety for JDRF cyclists. She designed and delivered the Ride Coach Safety Training, empowering over 150 volunteers across 5 JDRF bicycle events nationwide.
Inspired by the resilience of her trainees, Mary Beth took the plunge – she became a Ride Coach herself! Now, you’ll find her many weekends guiding South Florida cyclists towards their 100-mile Amelia Island century goal.
But Mary Beth doesn’t stop there. Like all Ride Coaches, she’s committed to the fundraising cause. Every pedal stroke fuels her mission to conquer T1D alongside the JDRF community.
Want to be a part of the journey? Click here and donate to JDRF, adding your fuel to the fight against diabetes. Remember, every pedaled mile, every donated dollar, brings us closer to a cure.

A dedicated group of New Jersey teens from Westwood’s Central Unitarian Church Youth Group traded their time off for work gloves this spring break.
These 16-to-18-year-olds embarked on a remarkable journey across the globe to Prague, Czech Republic. Their mission? To restore dignity to a neglected Jewish cemetery.
Michael Patrick, Founder and Senior Advisor of MOHR Retail, served as a group chaperone. His son, Gardner Patrick-Dixon (right photo), worked alongside his peers in this mission to help a community regain access to the derelict cemetery.

They took on the task of clearing overgrown trees and shrubs from tombstones, bringing them back to their former beauty. MOHR Retail proudly supported these young activists through a donation, making it possible for their admirable work to be completed. The teens proved that a little time, dedication, and teamwork can make a world of difference.

MOHR Retail is proud to highlight the charitable efforts of one of our Senior Consultants, Leesa Wallace, as a Founding Member of Yaysh, Inc. You can donate to support Leesa’s work here.
Imagine building lifelong friendships, igniting leadership potential, and making a real difference in the community, all inspired by your Jewish heritage and values. That’s the reality Yaysh, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, brings to young Jewish women.
Through a transformative and highly subsidized trip to Israel, paired with powerful education, mentorship, and service opportunities, Yaysh unlocks the richness of Jewish values, not just in words, but in impactful action.
We are proud of how Leesa, Founder and Executive Board Member, has transferred her coaching and leadership development skills from the retail industry to the mentoring of emerging Jewish women leaders. She uses her R.E.M. (relevant, energizing, memorable!) skills to empower program participants.
Yaysh doesn’t work alone. They amplify their impact by joining forces with the following amazing organizations:
- Dignity Grows - Tackling the issues of period poverty and hygiene inequality in America
- Project Shema - Focusing on bringing a unique, nuanced approach to antisemitism education
- Jewish Community Relations Council - Fighting for social justice, building interfaith relations, and creating change through advocacy
It’s the most challenging, humbling, and deeply rewarding experience she’s ever had. And she’s not stopping anytime soon. Leesa invites you to join her in building a community of empowered Jewish women who create lasting change.

MOHR Retail Spotlight: Matt Brown and the East Texas Symphonic Band
At MOHR Retail, we celebrate the diverse passions and community involvement of our team members. One of our own, Matt Brown, plays the Euphonium with the East Texas Symphonic Band (ETSB), a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the cultural fabric of Longview, TX.
The East Texas Symphonic Band is renowned for providing exceptional entertainment value and raising the appreciation and awareness of quality wind band music in East Texas. Their mission is to showcase the excitement and cultural identity inherent in live performances, offer adult musicians a venue to continue making music, and inspire young musicians to excel beyond their school experiences.
A key part of this mission is the band’s annual free concert series for all fifth-grade students in the area. As these young students prepare to join band in the sixth grade, ETSB’s concerts offer a unique opportunity to experience the magic of live music. Under the direction of Dr. Snowden, the band performs fun and well-known pieces like the William Tell Overture and various marches and classical selections that highlight different instruments.
During the concert, Dr. Snowden calls out each instrument so students can hear its unique sound, followed by a performance that features those instruments. This interactive experience not only entertains but also fosters a love for the arts among the next generation of musicians. Additionally, all ETSB concerts are free to students and open to the public, further supporting their mission to make the arts accessible to all.
We’re proud to support Matt Brown’s dedication to the arts and his role in inspiring young musicians in the community. To experience the magic of the East Texas Symphonic Band, visit their YouTube channel: East Texas Symphonic Band YouTube Channel.

- As a board member, Paul directly supports the President and the many volunteer coaches. He engages in program development and support, plans annual fundraising events and recruitment, and onboards new board members and volunteers.
